Back in October, I posted a short entry about Society6’s new artist plan structure and my intention to opt for the free version, requiring a major culling of my designs there. I had expected it to be difficult, and it was.
I set myself a few rules. Since my main style is repeating patterns, I would only use those for my ten. I would not include anything tied too closely to any particular holiday – with such a low limit, I don’t want anything that will only perform for a few weeks out of the year. And to best showcase my work, I would not repeat patterns – no red, blue, and green of the same thing – and I would use a variety of color schemes.
Following those guidelines, and attempting to balance my preferences with those of my audience, here are my selections:
